Installation
You can integrate the SmartBuddy into your home network in 2 ways. This is on the one hand via LAN cable and on the other hand via WLAN.
Connect with LAN cable
This is the easiest method. Here you only need to connect the HomeBuddy with a LAN cable and restart it. The unit is assigned an IP address by your router via DHCP.
Please make sure that DHCP is activated on your router.
Connect to the home WLAN
When the unit is started for the first time and no LAN cable is connected, the unit creates an AccessPoint. open. Please connect your smartphone or tablet to this AccessPoint (SSID: smartbuddy_xxxxxx). The key for this AccessPoint can be found on the back of the unit. A page opens on which all available WLAN networks are listed. There you select your network and enter the WLAN key. The device then connects to your WLAN network and the AccessPoint is closed. The unit does not need to be restarted.
If the login page does not start automatically, you can open it via the notification bar on your smartphone/tablet.
