Wallboxes
The predefined dashboard of the SmartBuddy has already been prepared for the display of wallboxes of the manufacturer 'Besen'. This initially affects wallboxes with this designation:
Detection
Wallboxes that are on the same network as the HomeBuddy are automatically detected and displayed on the Dashboard page Wallboxes.
Up to 4 wallboxes can be displayed.
If no wallboxes are detected, a message is displayed on the Dashboard page.
A manual search is not possible.
If at least one wallbox has been detected, the following map appears on your Dashboard.
At the same time, a neutral car is displayed. You can configure up to 4 cars, one of which you can assign to the wallbox.
The topic car is discussed in more detail here.
Initialisation
To access the data of the wallbox, it is necessary to communicate the corresponding key to the SmartBuddy. You have already entered this key when
the installation of the wallbox via the smartphone app.
To do this, click on the cogwheel in the top right-hand corner and this settings dialogue will open where you can enter the key.
In addition, you can specify whether charging is to take place with 6A or 16A, how high your electricity price is and the maximum charge level.
Then press Save.
It may take a few minutes until the data of your wallbox is displayed.
You can also integrate wallboxes from other manufacturers into your SmartBuddy, provided that integrations or PlugIns for HomeAssistant exist. We have included some providers in the Further links section.
For all wallboxes that are not automatically recognised by SmartBuddy, the pre-installed function PV Surplus Charging is out of order.
